Blog #9: Expanding the Multiverse

*THIS BLOG CONTAINS LOKI EPISODE TWO SPOILERS!*

Image from collider.com

So I finally got the time to watch episode two of Loki, and this one was quite doozy. We get to see Loki doing field work with Mobius, trying to figure out where this “evil Loki” is hiding and what are their motives. I liked how writers were able to turn a mass-murderer like Loki into a lovable dork, but I especially loved how they showed how much of a genius Loki really is (our Loki and “evil Loki”). I mean hiding in natural disater events is such a clever trick to evade time cops.

This episode also marked the official reveal of the “evil Loki”. Loki and Mobius, along with other TVA agents, traveled to the year 2050 during a hurricane that wiped out the entire town of Haven Hill in search of “evil Loki”, which is a fruitful venture since Loki is met face-to-face with the other him, or should I say her?

Nerds and geeks, the infamous Lady Loki, aka Sylvie Laufeydottir. Her appearance was expected since the first trailer for Loki dropped, but her name is an interesting easter egg. Her name sounds like a variation of Sylvie Lushton, the second Enchantress from the comics. Lushton was a being created by Loki’s magic because he liked the idea of creating mortals who think they’re Asagardians, so that technically makes her his daughter. Could this Sylvie be the same as Lushton, or is the MCU simply fusing her character with Lady Loki to create this new variant? I guess we won’t know until more episodes drop, but we can speculate what the fallout of Sylvie’s actions are.

Before the credits rolled, Sylvie completed the first phase of her plan: creating the multiverse. She teleported special reset bombs (that she stole from the TVA agents she’s killed), and scattered them across the timeline. Each bomb detonated across the timeline, creating branches that lead to new timelines. So far it seems that her true plan is to confront the time gods, and creating a freaking multiverse seems to be the best way to bring them out of hiding. Will the time gods appear in episode three, maybe they will, but we do know that Loki and Sylvie are going to be spending a lot of time together in the new episode since he followed her through the time portal. Episode three will provide a good oppurtunity to learn more about where/when Sylvie came from, what is the rest of her master plan, and how will Loki try to change her plan into his favor.

Once the episode premieres, be sure to check back here to read my thoughts about Loki and the future of the MCU.

Blog #8: MCU Entering New Horizons

*THIS BLOG CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM EPISODE ONE OF LOKI*

I’ve always been fascinated by the portrayal of time travel and the multiverse in movies, tv shows, novels, and comic books. The idea of the multiverse now seems more prevalent within both Marvel and DC Comics, now more so with the debut of Marvel’s Loki on Disney+. The trailers for the new series really caught my curiosity, but the first episode grabbed my attention. Let’s chat about that…

Image from thedirect.com

The episode opened to the year 2015, after Loki is defeated by the Avengers, which also happens to be when the “Endgame” Avengers traveled back in time to steal the space stone and mind stone. Like in the movie, we saw the “Endgame” Avengers fail to acquire the space stone, and Loki escaped with it. Our story truly begins after that escape, when Loki lands in Mongolia to catch his breath, but there ain’t no rest for the wicked god of mischief when shortly after his arrival, Loki is arrested by the TVA (Time Variance Authority) for altering the timeline. For the next few scenes, Loki, like the viewers, is in a state of confusion trying to make sense of what’s happening.

He’s brought to the TVA HQ to stand trial for his crimes against altering the timeline (the whole introduction of TVA HQ is a joke on bureaucracy), and it’s there where we get some backstory on the Marvel Multiverse (from the movie’s perspective). We learn that there used to be multiple timelines that existed, but they were all at war with each other. It wasn’t until some time gods sort of rebooted the multiverse, and combined all the universes into one timeline. The TVA was formed to make sure the proper flow of time is kept so new timelines won’t be created, and anybody who alters the timeline (like Loki) will be put on trial and then sentenced to be reset.

When the show first stated that, my first question was “Why aren’t the Avengers there?!” since I’m pretty sure time travel might get you arressted by a couple of time cops. This ofcourse was covered when the TVA claimed that the Avengers “time heist” was meant to happen, but Loki was still in trouble. It wasn’t until the TVA agent, Mobius, pulled Loki aside to ask him a few questions. His questions gave some deeper insight on Loki’s character, asking him who he really is, and does he enjoy what he does, all of which Loki avoids answering. Eventually Loki espcapes from Mobius, explores the TVA, and he eventaully finds an entire stash of Infinity Stones (most of them duplicates from other timelines), but they are all rendered powerless in the TVA HQ. This moment acts as a wake-up call for Loki, and he realizes that despite being a god, he is just as small and confused as every other mortal he’s tried to conquer.

He returns to Mobius to answer his questions, which helps him come to terms with who he is, and then Mobius tells him that he needs Loki’s help in tracking a time traveler who is killing TVA agents. Mobius tells Loki that this rogue time traveler is another version of Loki, and the final scene shows that Loki murdering a bunch of TVA agents. This Loki is wearing a large cloak with their face covered, which leads many people to believe that this Loki could be the Lady Loki (who has been confirmed to make her debut in this series).

This episode opens up new terriotories for the MCU to explore, such as the “Multivserse”. The TVA main’s goal is the prevent new timelines from being created, but comic fans are more than aware that the multiverse still exists. Now before you say that “This is the MCU, it’s not like the comic books”, my response to you is that MCU exists in the “comic multiverse” as Earth 199999 (check the Marvel Wiki), so this leads to the theory that this Earth hasn’t perfected multiversal travel yet, but this might change when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out.

Continuing on the multiverse, this episode might have teased the next big cosmic-level event, which could be the Secret Wars (2015), a comic event where heroes and villains from different Earths were pinned into a battle for survival, and the fallout of that war changed the fabric of the multiverse (such as Miles Morales being brought from Earth 1610 to Earth 616). This event is very likely to happen since Loki will be exploring the idea of multiple timelines, Spider-Man No Way Home is said to re-introduce actors who have starred in previous SONY Spider-Man films as the same characters from those films (Alfred Molina who played Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 will play as the same Doc Ock in Spider-Man No Way Home), WandaVision revealing that Wanda has reality-warping powers, and the sequel title for Doctor Strange’s movie literally has the word “multiverse” in it.

I am all for a live-action Secret Wars movie, but I still have my worries about the execution of that. The idea sounds great on paper (just read the comic), but to film something on that kind of scale is a daunting task that could prove to become a bad idea. I still have faith that Marvel will do something good with this new phase, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing what happens next to Loki in his new show.

Blog #7: The Return

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve last wrote here, and that’s because I’ve been busy with college and dealing with some personal issues, but now I’m back.

I’m a college graduate now, got a BA in Psychology (if Harley Quinn can dable in mental health, Deadpool can do the same), and I feel great knowing that I’m done with school for a bit. I’m also happy to see that everything is starting to calm down in terms of Covid, and now that I’m completely vaccinated, I can enjoy the outdoors. Like most people during this pandemic, I too have enjoyed the comfort of staying home, but I honestly miss going out and meeting up with my friends. Also, I have more options when it comes to creating new content for my Insta-fans, so stay tuned for that.

There are some new cosplay projects in the works, so I’ll keep you all posted about that. There is also a possibility that I might venture off to some comic conventions during the summer, but I’m not quite sure about NYCC in October. I would have to maintain social distance at NYCC, which will make taking pics with people a little challenging, and I don’t know if panels will be a thing this year. I’m not sure if it’s worth going to NYCC this year, but NYCC 2022 is a definite must!

Also I would like to point out that all blogs starting today will be saved in a new “Archive” page, which can be accessed through the “Home” page.

Well, that’s all I have to say for now, but more blogs will be approaching. Today’s entry is more like a “series revival” post since I owe you all a proper return. If you enjoy this little read, leave a like and a comment below, and feel free to subscribe to my blog to get the latest updates. In the wise words of Ron Burgundy ,”Stay classy San Diego”. I’ll see you all next week.

Blog #6: Trigger Warnings

*TRIGGER WARNING: THIS BLOG IS ABOUT TRIGGER WARNINGS*

The other day I was having a chat with a buddy, just discussing some random memes on Instagram, and then we saw a certain “news meme” that piqued our interests. Apparently Disney+ placed a content warning before certain episodes of The Muppet Show claiming “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures”. I was like;

“What the hell is this? How can fucking puppets be racist,” and then I was like “Oh right, that show started in the 70s. Some of their songs and jokes might not have aged well.”

I did appreciate that Disney decided to place a trigger warning instead of just cutting out certain parts from the episodes, which would have been pathetic of them to do, but my friend felt that some people are being way too sensitive over some jokes. Usually I would agree with him, I do think our society is growing more sensitive each day (I can’t even make a joke about myself without someone else getting offended), but I told him that the only reason Disney uses trigger/content warnings for their shows and movies is so they don’t get too much bad publicity. We both switched to a different topic after that, but that little bit of news got me thinking about those warnings.

It’s easy for people to just delete these problematic topics from movies, tv shows, and books, but that’s just plain stupid. Avoiding these issues (racism, homophobia, sexism, police brutality, etc…) will rob future generations of learning that these topics/issues actually exist. People who try to prevent these issues from being taught in schools, or even banned from musuems, are essentially admiting to supporting censorship, which is fucking diabolical. My literary theory professor even brought up the topic that people merely avoiding or “deleting” these issues may cause future people to make the same mistakes our ancestors made, which is why she is a firm believer in trigger/content warnings.

Trigger warnings act as a little heads up for people, saying something like “Hey, how’s going? Just wanna let you know you’re about to witness some fucked up shit, so proceed with caution”, and that’s a good thing. Not only does it help people decide if they want to continue watching or reading the material, but it could also shine some light on certain topics that the reader/viewer might not know a lot about, or it might offer some relatability for people who have experience with issues the material they’re viewing brings up.

My point is, people should not try to cut out these issues from entertainment and social media. We have the right to speak our minds about these problems, and the more people who talk about them, the more awareness it brings. So censorship can go fuck itself, but trigger warnings can stick around. As long as these warnings don’t deny people of the truth, everything will be fine.

To wrap things up, I’ll leave you all with a little bit of extra wisdom. A wise person once said “We make mistakes to learn from them”, and I think we need to start following that kind of logic. Until next time….

Blog #5: Monster Fights and Basketball

*THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVEIW OF GODZILLA VS KONG (2021), WITH A DASH OF SPACE JAM*

Shortly after getting off the thrill ride that was the Snyder Cut, I decided to view the latest installment to Legendary’s Kaiju series: Godzilla vs Kong, and I’m glad to report that I thought it was absolutely terrific!

Both monsters were able to show off their epicness on a grand scale, but I would say that there was slightly more focus on Kong rather than Godzilla, which was not a bad thing (every kaiju fan knows that Kong is more of a “gentler/compassionate” creature than Godzilla). The fights were remarkable, the cinematography was simply magnificent, and the story was really enjoyable to go through.

Just to put it out there, there is a definite winner between the lizard and the ape, so you all can rest easy knowing that going into the movie.

Most of the human characters were okay to watch, but some of them were great. Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Madison (from Godzilla KOTM), was given so much more depth in this film, all the scenes of Kong and the little who comforts him(the one from the trailers) were so wholesome, and the Firefist dude from Deadpool 2 was a great comedic relief.

There were also some new monsters who were introduced. I won’t say who showed up to the party, but I will say that they were fucking spectacular. Everything in that movie was fucking spectacular, which is why I give the movie a solid 9/10.

Now let’s move on to more pressing matters. The Space Jam: A New Legacy trailer dropped yesterday, it looks like the movie Ready Player One but with basketball….. I like it. The movie does seem to follow a different plot compared to the original, but it still looks like it’s going to be a fun movie, and it seems that there are going to be a lot of Easter Eggs in this movie (time to get ready for another egg hunt).

You should all look up the trailer if you haven’t seen it yet, and if you want, you can leave a comment below to tell me what you think of the trailer? Will this movie be a success or just another shitty reboot? Only time will tell.

Happy Easter everybunny.

Blog #4: The Virus is Hate, Unity is the Cure

Over the past few weeks, I have seen numerous news reports about all of this hatred happening among us. All of these assaults on the Asian-American community are very sick to see, and the aggressors of these crimes are not justifiable. I’m honestly getting fed up by all of this bullshit, especially after the Atlanta shooting that killed eight people.

I know most of my cosplays are based off killers from comic books, but I could never understand why people are motivated to murder innocent people. A statement was released after the Atlanta shooting where the shooter, Robert Long, made the excuse that he was having a “bad day”. As soon as I saw that statement, I knew a certain comment/connection was going to be made, and I eventually saw somebody actually did it (I’m not saying who did it, but if you’re reading it, you know who you are). The comment of course was about how the statement was similar to a quote from the famous graphic novel, The Killing Joke. The quote was “All it takes is one bad day”, and it was said by….

The Joker.

Now obviously the person who made the comment wasn’t comparing the shooter to the Joker, they were just accusing the shooter of sounding like the Joker, but it still bothers me to read that connection. Can we all just agree to leave comics, movies, tv shows, and videogames out of this political mess? We don’t need anymore fucking headlines such as “Videogames Cause Aggression in Teens” or “Gaming is Making People Less Socially Active”, etc….

If people want to bring those forms of entertainment to politics, why not bring in the good lessons they teach us, like the moral of Justice League: Snyder Cut….

Unity conquers all!

That movie taught us that if we stand united against a powerful threat, we would be victorious. We’re the United States of America, and here we are more divided than ever. This clusterfuck of hate needs to stop, but we have to go about it the right way.

Congress passing more regulations on gun control won’t solve anything. Taking away people’s constitutional right to bear Arms would make matters worse since there are people out there who legally buy weapons to protect themselves. Remember how the government restricted alcohol in the 1920s so it could lower the crime rate, where in truth crime just got worse until the prohibition was repealed? Well the same shit is going to happen if the government takes away everyone’s guns! Crime might get worse, but people will definitely get more creative when it comes to hurting people.

“Guns don’t kill people, people kill people“, is a line I like to reflect on from time to time. Focusing on the people who commit these crimes is the key to fixing everything. If the perpetrator is mentally sound they should be judged accordingly in the court of law, but if the perpetrator is not mentally sound, they should receive the problem medical attention to help rehabilitate them.

My point is that we should stop arguing with each other on how to fix these issues, hell we shouldn’t be fighting amongst each other at all. No matter our religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or race, we’re all human beings. We’re all a part of one collective species and we should start acting like it!

Blog #3: Justice for the “Justice League”

*NOTICE: THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE BLOG ABOUT THE SNYDER CUT!*

“I don’t care how many demons he’s fought in how many hells, he’s never fought us. Not us united” were the mighty words said by the Caped Crusader in the Justice League: Snyder Cut that is currently available on HBO Max, and my God, that movie was epic!

What started in 2017 as a myth of a much better Justice League film than the one we got in theaters, Zac Snyder’s original vision lit a spark within the DC Fandom. A spark that was able to persevere through the toxic banter amongst the DC fans, and was able to unite a group of people with an idea that will change the landscape of superhero cinema forever.

For a mere four hours, I witnessed a superhero film that actually deserves to be called a “film” rather than just a “movie”. The Snyder Cut was everything one could want from a DC film and so much more, but I expected no less from a film directed by Zac Snyder (I’m a big fan of the Ultimate Cut of his Watchmen film).

The pacing of the plot was pretty quick that it felt like a two hours long film, and all the extra two hours we got footage added so much more context to each character. Batman wasn’t some kind of comedian(save the funny batstuff for Adam West, God rest his soul), Aquaman felt like a lone wolf who was slowly warming up to the team, Flash was still funny but he was equally as courageous. We were able to see more moments of Cyborg with his father, and him coping with being half-machine, and Wonder Woman….where do I even start. In a nutshell, every Wonder Woman scene in this movie was ten times better than the whole WW84 movie.

Superman, he was a HUGE imporvement. No shitty CGI face to cover up a mustache, he still felt like a powerful being to be feared, and he looked really good in the black suit. The Superman we saw in this movie felt like the same Superman from Man of Steel, and that’s exactly what I was hoping for. Though it did feel weird for me to watch Henry Cavill as Superman again after binging Witcher. There were even moments when I was thinking “Calm down Clark, your Geralt is showing”.

Hell, even Steppenwolf is a much better villain in the Snyder Cut!

Despite all the love I’m giving to the new Justice League Cut, there is just one thing I did not like, or rather one thing I hated about the movie: WHY HELL DID JOSS WHEDON AND WARNER BROS. BUTCHER UP THIS MASTERPIECE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!

Justice League 2017 was just a show of major disrespect to Zac Snyder. First he has to leave production because of his daughter’s death(God rest her soul), and then you have these WB executives hire Joss Whedon, the Avengers dude(X-Force is still the better team), and they basically turned the League into some knock-off Avengers movie. All that forced humor, lack of character context, it was horrific.

I’m just really happy that Zac Snyder was able to complete his original vision, and he gave us an instant classic. Of course this wouldn’t be possible with us, the fans.

We stood united….

The movie was a 10/10 for me, and let’s all be proud of how each member of the fandom was able to put aside their differences, and they were able to work together to bring forth something magical. Maybe our country can learn from us geeks about putting aside our differences for the greater good. An individual can be strong on their own, but people united can accomplish so much more.

Blog #2: Vaccines, Conspiracies, Normalcy, and other things…

*WARNING*THIS BLOG CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE NEW SOUTH PARK VACCINATION SPECIAL. IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED IT YET, I URGE YOU TO DO SO. IF YOU ALREADY WATCHED IT OR DON’T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT SPOILERS, ENJOY THE BLOG…

What a crazy week, am I right? Our US president held a conference yesterday to urge people to get the Covid-19 vaccine, the J&J vaccine is being distrubuted on a grander scale, but most importanly South Park has successfully entertained us again with their “Vaccination Special”. I can honestly say that I found this special to be much more entertaining than last year’s “Pandemic Special”, but just like the last special, the “Vaccination Special” is racking up a lot of publicity, just not the publicity I was entirely expecting.

In a nutshell, the new special centered around people struggling to get a vaccine, much like how it is currently. The only people in South Park that are successfully getting the vaccine are the senior citizens, essential workers, and people with underlying health issues(but mostly the senior citizens).  Due to the negligence and the limited amount of vaccinations, this has left all of the adults very unhappy, especially the teachers, and the main teacher, Mrs. Nelson, reached her breaking point when Cartman and Kenny pranked her. This caused her to storm out of the building, and refuse to continue teaching. The school was left with the task of hiring a new teacher, who ended up being the former US president, Mr. Garrison.  This caused Cartman, Kenny, Stan, and Kyle to become the most hated kids in their school, and the only way they could remedy the situation was to steal vaccines and give them to the teachers. Stealing the vaccines was easy, but getting it to the teachers was tough since news of them stealing the vaccine was leaked to the public, which caused a riot to get the vaccines. Of course there were people in the episode that were against the vaccine, but everything was solved when Garrison made a deal with some powerful people, and he was able to bring enough vaccines for everyone in South Park to use. The episode ended on the note that things might start to revert back to normal, but the ambiguous ending made that unlikely.

The powerful people that Garrison made a deal with, and the people who were against taking the vaccine were all a part of one conspiracy theory that sounds batshit crazy(and I’ve read my fair share of crazy conspiracies). The reason for the show being promoted as “South ParQ” was all due to the rapidly growing group known as “QAnon”, an American far-right conspiracy group who believe the whole world is under the control of a secret cabal(the powerful people Garrison made a deal with) that consists of Satanic pedophiles, who also like to drink the blood of children……

Yeah, it’s fucking nuts that people buy into that crap, and this coming from me! Some wacky merc with a mouth that has traversed through the treacherous seas of 4chan and the Reddit underbelly! Now this sounds crazy already, but there’s more. The some of the supposed members of this “cabal” include; Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, and Oprah Winfrey. Fucking Oprah!

This whole definition was from the South Park special, so I thought there may have been some over exaggeration, but dear God was I wrong. If you look up “QAnon” on Google(or any browser), you’ll find the exact same definition on news sites and Wikipedia. So basically, South Park has proven once again that it has evolved from a satire cartoon to a borderline documentary on modern society, let that sink in for a moment.

Surprisingly enough, the actual QAnon group loved the shit out of this episode, and they believe that this is the key to “waking people up to the truth”. I honestly thought they would have gone on a huge rant on Twitter(aka “Cancel Culture” Central), boy was I wrong. So far the only people that seem upset by the special are the democrats, and I can see why they would be upset since South Park animated Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama offering children as satanic sacrifices, and also showing them drink human blood with bendy shows. I wonder what’s more upsetting though, democratic politicians drinking the blood of children, or the fact that they were drinking them through plastic straws instead of the eco friendly paper straws? The world may never know, but all jokes aside, let’s get into the nitty gritty of Garrison’s contribution to the episode.

The erratic behavior of the QAnon group was the product of Garrison returning to South Park after losing the election, similar to how the group is becoming more erratic ever since Donald Trump lost the election. This does make sense when you remember that President Garrison was South Park’s version of President Trump. When Garrison returned to South Park, everyone hated him because he almost ruined the entire country, and ofcourse Garrison was too ignorant to see why people hated him. He then met members of the QAnon group, and he believed that this “cabal” was behind all the hate he was getting. Garrison was willing to help QAnon stop this “cabal”, but he quickly changed his mind when he saw how powerful the “cabal” was(which was displayed as the animators just messing with the character models during the episode), and he instead struck a deal with them, which was to get his old life as a teacher back This involved the return of the infamous Mr. Hat (Garrison’s hand puppet) and Garrison bringing enough vaccines for everyone in South Park. Everyone was grateful for Garrison providing the vaccines, and Garrison(now a pawn for the “cabal”) was happy to have everything go back to normal.

Normal….Normalcy….

The episode explored many emotional topics that pretty much all of us have some experience with. The biggest one being the question of “Will things ever go back to normal”? I have already come to terms that things will never be the same after this pandemic. Society as a whole has changed, the business world has evolved to compensate for quarantine, and friendships and relationships have been either strained or even destroyed. The idea of people struggling to return everything back to “normal” was shown through the special’s subplot of the four main characters struggling to find the magic of the friendship, or “brolationship” as Cartman called it. Throughout the whole episode, Cartman, Stan, and Kyle tried to remain friends for the emotional sake of Kenny, who has said that he feels sad over the fact their friendship is dying. From the boys pranking their teacher to them stealing vaccines, that was their attempt to recapturing that magic, but it was a loss cause. The three of them had to come to terms that they are completely different people now, and them pretending to still be friends isn’t healthy for them or Kenny. The comediac aspect of how they tried to protect Kenny’s feelings is similar to how parents in a failing marriage try to make the relationship work for their kid/kids. The special ultimately ends with the three of them renouncing their friendship, and now sharing “friendship custody” of Kenny.

As a diehard fan of South Park, it’s painful knowing that the boys aren’t friends anymore, but I think I understand what the creators are trying to tell the fans. The world is slowly conquering the pandemic, and things are slowly returning to some sense of normalcy, but it won’t be the same type of normal from before the pandemic. We all have to come to terms that things have changed, and that there’s no way for us to go back to that “normal”. Now I’m not saying that all relationships and friendships that we had before the pandemic didn’t survive the pandemic, but the people in those relationships and friendships have changed. Everybody went through their own hardships throughout 2020, and maybe those hardships made us grow as individuals, or maybe they didn’t.

The point is that 2020 was a shit show and society will never be the same, but we all made it. We came into 2021 with hopes of things getting better, and those hopes are slowly becoming a reality. We probably won’t retain our original normal, but we might get pretty damn close to it.

Thank you for reading my thoughts, and remember to wash your hands, wear a mask, social distance, and do hugs not drugs(or is it “do hugs and drugs”? I can never remember).

This is your friendly neighborhood LegendPool signing off.

Blog #1: The first apperance

Before every great story, there is an origin story. Typically there is meant to be one origin for each great story, unless if you’re some Hollywood studio that is obessed with making money from rebooted franchises. Luckily this isn’t one of those cases.

My name is LegendPool, and I am simply a cosplayer for fun. I’ve been cosplaying as the famous Merc with a Mouth since 2016, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Cosplaying has kind of been my biggest tool in helping grow as an individual. During my childhood, I didn’t have a lot of friends and I was pretty much a wallflower. Nobody really paid mind to me, and I was ok with that. I was comfortable with being a “lone wolf” of sorts, but there was a part of me that utterly hated that idea. It all changed when I got my first Deadpool mask.

I discovered a new part of myself, a more “extroverted” version of myself. I finally felt comfortable expressing myself to other people, and more people started to notice, which makes sense because who wouldn’t notice some dorky kid in a red mask? All jokes aside, cosplay helped me become comfortable within my own skin. I have made a lot of amazing friends through cosplay, and cosplaying has made my Comic-Con experience ten times more awesome!

So now you’re probably wondering, “Why is this dude starting a blog site? Why do I want to read about some cosplayer”, and the answer is simple: I am much more than “some cosplayer”. I am an avid fan of all things comics, videogames, movies, manga, and the list goes on, and I have so many thoughts and opinions on all those topics, and I finally feel brave enough to share it with all of you!

So buckle up my friends, because I’m taking for a thrill ride through my Geekdom! (Kingdom plus Geek, you get the idea)
