*THIS BLOG CONTAINS LOKI EPISODE TWO SPOILERS!*

So I finally got the time to watch episode two of Loki, and this one was quite doozy. We get to see Loki doing field work with Mobius, trying to figure out where this “evil Loki” is hiding and what are their motives. I liked how writers were able to turn a mass-murderer like Loki into a lovable dork, but I especially loved how they showed how much of a genius Loki really is (our Loki and “evil Loki”). I mean hiding in natural disater events is such a clever trick to evade time cops.
This episode also marked the official reveal of the “evil Loki”. Loki and Mobius, along with other TVA agents, traveled to the year 2050 during a hurricane that wiped out the entire town of Haven Hill in search of “evil Loki”, which is a fruitful venture since Loki is met face-to-face with the other him, or should I say her?

Nerds and geeks, the infamous Lady Loki, aka Sylvie Laufeydottir. Her appearance was expected since the first trailer for Loki dropped, but her name is an interesting easter egg. Her name sounds like a variation of Sylvie Lushton, the second Enchantress from the comics. Lushton was a being created by Loki’s magic because he liked the idea of creating mortals who think they’re Asagardians, so that technically makes her his daughter. Could this Sylvie be the same as Lushton, or is the MCU simply fusing her character with Lady Loki to create this new variant? I guess we won’t know until more episodes drop, but we can speculate what the fallout of Sylvie’s actions are.
Before the credits rolled, Sylvie completed the first phase of her plan: creating the multiverse. She teleported special reset bombs (that she stole from the TVA agents she’s killed), and scattered them across the timeline. Each bomb detonated across the timeline, creating branches that lead to new timelines. So far it seems that her true plan is to confront the time gods, and creating a freaking multiverse seems to be the best way to bring them out of hiding. Will the time gods appear in episode three, maybe they will, but we do know that Loki and Sylvie are going to be spending a lot of time together in the new episode since he followed her through the time portal. Episode three will provide a good oppurtunity to learn more about where/when Sylvie came from, what is the rest of her master plan, and how will Loki try to change her plan into his favor.
Once the episode premieres, be sure to check back here to read my thoughts about Loki and the future of the MCU.
